Rob Bancroft

CEO

Rob is driven by the belief that good business is good for people.

Recognizing the pressing need for more affordable homeownership, Rob founded Fairstart Homes with a mission to address housing affordability challenges through innovative market solutions.

With a diverse background spanning finance, philanthropy, manufacturing, and real estate, Rob has owned multiple businesses and led various real estate projects, ranging from single-family homes and land assemblies to the repositioning of entire multi-family residential developments.

Through his leadership and ongoing consulting work, Rob is dedicated to creating a more equitable and accessible housing landscape, one community at a time.

Steve Cox

CMO

Steve is a trailblazing force in brand, design, and communications, driven by his steadfast dedication to addressing pressing societal issues. As Co-Founder of Cause+Affect, Steve led brand and public engagement efforts for Vancouver's Affordable Housing Strategy before helping to transform BC Housing's brand and culture at the Provincial level.Transitioning to market development, Steve’s brand and design leadership at Rize Alliance Properties created Comma, a rental housing platform prioritizing design and affordability. Now serving as CMO of Fairstart Homes, he continues to impact housing accessibility, while building a brand with a profound sense of social responsibility.

Fairstart Advisory Board

  • Born in Haiti and raised in New Westminster, BC, Paul Kennedy is a partner and co-leader of the Real Estate Group at Lindsay Kenney LLP (LK Law).

    Paul’s practice is primarily focused on real estate law and financial services. He has extensive experience in many areas of real estate law including residential and commercial conveyancing, residential and commercial mortgage lending (representing institutional lenders, MICs, and private lenders, as well as acting as borrower’s counsel with respect to same), advising on strata bylaw issues and municipal bylaw issues, assisting in small to medium sized subdivisions, stratifications and developments (both commercial, residential and mixed use).

    Paul has played an instrumental role in preparing the various mortgage agreements utilized by Fairstart Properties for use in the Fairstart home ownership program.

  • Theo was born and raised in Dunbar annd Kitsilano and now resides in North Vancouver, moving across the water for love and mountains. Having lived in seven different municipalities across the Lower Mainland from Whistler to Langley, he carries a deep understanding of the region’s many nuances and is well-versed in property evaluation, school catchments, land use planning and development, and the general “feel” of the GVRD’s neighbourhoods.

    Before joining rennie, Theo owned and managed two real estate franchises, where he mentored realtors and helped clients buy and sell all manner of property from starter condos to custom beach cottages and ski chalets, and acres of urban development land. He loves the technical side of the real estate world and how data and information can serve the public in their successful pursuit of property ownership and lifestyle investment.

  • Jeff has a diverse history in business leadership. He has demonstrated proven results through bottom line accountability in restaurants, hotels, ski areas, investment real estate, sales & management training, dental centre development, professional practice management, financial services, retail operations, franchising, international development, business advisory services, general management consulting, and leadership coaching/mentoring.

    He currently hold investments in hundreds of single and multi-family rental homes and serves as an advisor and mentor to business leaders across Canada.
